Identity Theft Education & Recovery

Identity theft is the fastest growing financial crime in America. Perpetrators of this crime continue to find innovative ways of stealing your identity and when this happens your financial well-being is at jeopardy. Restoring one’s good name and good credit is a time-consuming and expensive process. That is why AAGE/AAPE provides a complimentary Identity Theft Education and Recovery Program to its members as a benefit of membership. This benefit provided at No Additional Cost to the member is designed to alleviate the work and time involved in recovering from an identity theft event. The program includes:

1. •A personal recovery advocate assigned to manage the identity recovery
   

2. •A customized recovery plan established to address specific issues
   

3. •Limited Power of Attorney authorization allows the recovery advocate to work on the victims behalf
   

4. •The advocate will conduct the research, phone calls, letter, follow-up and case documentation
   

5. •The advocate will contact and file disputes with creditors, bill collectors, banks, mortgage companies and agencies such as the DMV, SS Administration, and the US Postal Service
   

6. •The advocate will continue to work until the identity has been restored to is pre-theft status
   

Optional Upgrades to the Identity Theft Education and Recovery Program

Through the Associations’ website, members will have access to valuable enhancements to the Identity Theft Education and Recovery Program. These enhanced programs continually evolve to assure state of the art benefits are provided to each subscriber. The enhanced programs may offer benefits such as annual credit reports, continuous credit monitoring, and expense reimbursement. The enhanced programs are available for the member and the member’s family.

Auto & Home Insurance Benefit Program

The AAGE/AAPE offers its members an easy and cost-effective way to purchase their auto and home insurance through a group sponsored program with Unitrin Direct Preferred Insurance. Unitrin is an AM Best “A” rated carrier with over 6 million policies in force.

Your membership in either the AAGE or AAPE includes access via the Associations’ website to a specialist in group auto and home insurance and you get a discount just for being an association member.
